Electrical/Mechanical Engineer

Vantage Partners is seeking a new addition to our Electrical Engineering Department.  Contributors to this department work collaboratively and lead teams in the delivery of aeronautic and space systems that contribute to missions at NASA Glenn Research Center.  We provide supportive service to a wide range of projects and seek a candidate with the ability to rapidly learn and contribute to our team.  The selected candidate must have knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering; strong knowledge of electrical motors and associated electrical drive components is mandatory.  Practical experience brought to bear upon difficult multidisciplinary engineering problems is essential.




  • Experience sizing and specifying electrical motors and associated electrical drive components based on project requirements. 
  • Experience conducting multiphysics analysis to support sizing and specifications of unique/custom electrical motors and associated electrical drive components
  • Experience delivering system level reports based on multiphysics analysis to support thermal, electrical, magnetic and mechanical engineering efforts.
  • Experience with electrical motors and associated electrical drive components testing procedures/setups.
  • Experience with electrical motors and associated electrical drive components fabrication and assembly
  • U.S. Citizenship required


Other Desired Skills:


  • Familiarity with NASA Standards for design, models, and simulations
  • Experience using ANSYS and COMSOL
  • Performing trade studies and compromises using sub-disciplines
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a development team





  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 0 to 5 years of experience
