Mechanical Structural Analyst

Vantage Partners, LLC is a multi-disciplinary engineering services company providing progressive solutions to projects within the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the NASA prime contractor community.

Description:

Vantage Partners is seeking a new addition to the Research & Engineering Analysis Group.  The candidate must be able to perform computational structural Finite Element (FE) modeling and analysis of NASA related systems and components.  Interface with both Vantage and NASA Glenn Research Center engineering personnel on specific work order tasks as defined by the government.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of structural and dynamics analysis approaches and techniques for aerospace related applications.
  • Proven ability to accurately model component and system geometry with finite element software (such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, PATRAN, and ANSYS).
  • Proven ability to interpret displacement, interference, stress, and vibration results from finite element analyses.
  • Proven ability to include analysis results in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documentation.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

 

Other Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of ProE (Creo), SolidWorks, and Matlab is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical topics in oral and written communication.

 

Education/Experience:

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 20+ years of experience
