Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer



Vantage Partners is seeking a new addition to our Aerospace Engineering Department. Contributors to this department work collaboratively and lead teams in the delivery of aeronautics and space systems that contribute to missions at NASA Glenn Research Center. We provide supportive service to a wide range of projects and seek a candidate with the ability to rapidly learn and contribute. Must have knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to mechanical engineering; knowledge of aerospace systems is a plus. Practical experience brought to bear upon difficult multidisciplinary engineering problems is essential.



  • Experience delivering integrated mechanical systems designs
  • Mechanical expertise over a product life cycle, with experience delivering products including structural solutions, solid models, stress analyses, thermal analyses, detail drawings, mechanical specifications, tolerance stack-ups, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance assessments
  • Design and analysis skills to address mechanical, structural, and thermal challenges associated with aerospace systems
  • Extensive experience using either SolidWorks Products or Creo modeling software - strong capabilities in accompanying PDM systems a plus
  • Demonstrated experience using ANSYS simulation software
  • FEMAP engineering analysis software skills to build models and solve complex engineering problems and present solution results
  • The ability to effectively write and communicate highly technical materials
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects considering technical, budget, and schedule constraints
  • U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident Status required


Other Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with NASA Standards for design, models, and simulations
  • Experience using Nastran, Patran, of Abaqus
  • Performing trade studies and compromises using sub-disciplines

• BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering


• 5 to 10 years of experience
