Description:

Vantage Partners is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to provide software engineering and development support to NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) Research and Engineering Directorate for a project in support of near-term Lunar surface missions.

 

The selected candidate will support work on the development of software required to autonomously monitor and control various integral subsystems within a Regenerative Fuel Cell (RFC) energy storage system.

  • Support software requirements development and documentation
  • Design, develop and record software architecture
  • Develop and functionally verify code utilizing bench-top breadboard hardware
  • Debug board-level hardware integration issues

Requirements:

 

  • Software engineering and development knowledge with an understanding of good software engineering practices
  • Software requirements analysis and architecture design
  • Designing, documenting and implementing software architecture
  • Experience with implementing requirements in design
  • Testing and debugging
  • Authoring requirements, design and test documents
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as a member of a software development team
  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident Status required

 

Other Desired Skills:

 

  • Understanding of NASA software standards including NPR 7150.2.
  • Experience with NASA’s autonomous fuel cell power module software code

 

Education/Experience:

 

  • BS Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent 
  • 20+ years of experience
