Space Communications Network Engineer


Vantage Partners, LLC is a multi-disciplinary engineering services company providing progressive solutions to projects within the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the NASA prime contractor community.

Develop concept network architecture models for the NASA Space Communications and Networking (SCaN) program to support network communications performance analysis.  SCAN network models will consist of ground and space based elements configured as components in network simulation applications, adapted to these non-standard configurations with internet in space components. Behavior of the network and services will be observed and analyzed for attributes critical to successfully meeting NASA SCaN user mission objectives. Simulations will assess performance and how the network/protocols would behave under different conditions presented in the architecture.


  • Satellite Communication Architecture simulation
  • Networked communication systems performance analysis
  • Software programming in C, C++
  • U.S. Citizen

Other Desired Skills:

  • Experience with network simulation tools and application (e.g. NS - Network Simulator, OPNET, QualNet, etc.)
  • Experience with NASA Space mission communication architectures using TDRSS, Near Earth Network (NEN),etc.

  • BS/MS in Network Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering


  • 3-10 years of experience
