Systems Engineer

Vantage Partners is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to serve as the external integration lead and the hardware mission operations lead supporting the NASA GRC-led development, integration, launch, and operations of a new series of three Spacecraft Fire Safety Demonstration flight experiments scheduled for launch aboard multiple Northrup Grumman Cygnus spacecraft. Primary duties include coordination with the ISS Program and the launch services provider on all ISS and spacecraft-related issues for the flight units; generation of plans, documentation, and input to ISS and Northrup Grumman; providing experiment-specific input for development of required crew procedures; definition of needed GSE & TSE, and staffing and schedule coordination for mission training and operations. Periodic travel to support technical meetings, training, and operations will be required.




·       Systems Engineering, planning and delivering complex space systems

·       Payload integration

·       Proficient with application of NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) 7123.1, and familiar with NPR 7120.5

·       Demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills as evidenced by plans, procedures, IRD/ICD, and similar documentation

·       U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident Status required



Other Desired Skills:


·       Previous NASA or NASA-contractor experience preferred

·       Mission operations planning and execution

·       INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional credential is a plus





  • BS/MS Engineering

·      10+ years of experience at the sub-system or system level
